Good Sam

Lost property, solved with a sticker

Your stuff can ask
to come home.

Put a Good Sam code on the things you would hate to lose. When someone finds them, they point their camera at it, and you hear about it within seconds. They never see your name, your number or where you live.

$2.99 a month for unlimited codes. Stickers from $6.90 a sheet, or print your own tonight.

If found, scan me

This one is real. Point your camera at it to see exactly what a finder sees.

The thirty seconds that matter

A stranger has your bag. Make helping the easiest thing they could do.

Most people want to do the right thing and then find there is nothing obvious to do. Your code opens a page with four plain choices and no sign-up.

  • Alert the owner

One tap. The owner gets a message saying their thing has turned up. The finder types nothing and gives up nothing.

  • Share where it is

The phone asks for location permission, then sends a pin with the alert. Enough to find a bag on a platform bench.

  • Say what you did with it

Left it where it was, holding on to it, handed it to the front desk, or happy to post it back. The owner knows what to do next.

  • Leave a way to reach you

Optional. A first name and a number if the finder wants to arrange a handover. Never required to help.

Why it is safe to label everything

A name tape tells the whole street who you are. A code tells nobody.

The finder learns nothing about you

No name, no phone number, no address, not even a first initial, unless you deliberately write something into your own message.

You learn only what they chose to share

An alert always tells you the time. Location and contact details appear only when the finder taps to include them.

The code is the only thing printed

Lose the item and you lose a random eight characters. Retire the code from your account and the page goes dead.

Scans are counted, not tracked

We record that a scan happened and store a one-way hash of the device fingerprint for abuse control. We do not build a profile of the finder.
